Well it's that time of year again! My friends and I have been trying to decide on a September camping trip. Our ideas have ranged from the White River in Arkansas to the BWCAW. In order to cut some to the travel time and since dove, grouse, and whitetail archery season are opening, we have changed our minds again and are now looking at going to one of my favorite haunts....the Nebraska National Forest! Planning is half the fun but I can't wait to go. Hopefully, I'll get some practice with my Dutch oven if we get some doves or grouse.

Where is the Nebraska National Forest? (What part of the state?)

I'm doing the same sort of thing myself for deer season. I'll probably hit the Hoosier NF's wilderness area this year. Its relatively close to home and since its a wilderness, not as many folks hit it.

This part of the NE National Forest is out past Broken Bow, south of Valentine. It's an amazing place to camp and hunt if you ever get out this way.

Look out for Don Goins when your out in the Hoosier Nat. Forest! I think those might be his stompin' grounds.
