Yesterday, my boy Tex got his Senior Hunter title. I am very proud of him. He marked and handled perfectly. We almost lost it on the honor after the second series, though.
His trainer watched Tex and I run the land series in the morning and complimented us throughout the day, but kept us humble by saying the Tex was not the number 1 dog of the day.
A little black lab female was. She worked well, and straight lined both blinds. No handling necessary. However, she failed because of her hard mouth. She really tore the birds up. She never got the chance to honor off lead. Good thing, too. She wouldn't have made the honor. The little 40 pounder almost pulled the handler into the water. So, my boy Tex was the number one dog of the day. :D
My husband is talking about going for the master title. I think perhaps we'll get a few HRC titles first.
I'm thinking of a new pup....
