Another Season down

I didn't have a buck tag this year, but my dad did. Last day of the season he decided to shoot this one:

Not much of a buck, but definitely some interesting horns. Just before dark we seen this guy:

My dad was kind of kicking himself, but how long can you wait? I shot 2 does also.
now its time for butchering.

A buddy of mine put down a small doe that was injured and a couple days later saw a monster whitetail buck just standing in the open waiting to be taken. He did the right thing putting down an injured animal but was kicking himself a little, too.

Wow is all I can say! I feel for him not getting a big trophy buck but that is a trophy in the freak class all to itself. Congrats to your Dad!
