You know if everybody would stop replying to this thing then it would finally die!

Shessh. . . . oh wait. . . . .DOH!

:D

GoodOlBoy

PS (tomatos and onions?!?! What kinda mexican was this??? Shoulda been tamales!)

Mad Reloader 12-22-2004 06:58 PM

My guess is, the Mexican ManBeefer was trying to cook it up in the quasi-Cacciatore mode that's popular for chicken down there.

Actually, ManBeef is best prepared like pork.

(Thusly, shoulda done up ManBeef Carnitas! No wonder it took him so long to finish up! Iff'n he'd cooked up the XBF right--woulda been no leftovers! LOL! :D )

OBTW: This is The Thread That Should Not Be. So its also being The Thread That Will Not Die...should come as NO surprise!

captain2k_ca 02-07-2005 09:27 PM

VinVega 02-08-2005 07:35 AM

It warms my heart to see manbeef back on the front of AAG.

Tater 02-08-2005 11:32 PM

Can't forget the Tater(s).

gregarat 02-10-2005 12:46 PM

Seeing this thread reminds me of the Monty Python "Spam" or "Manbeef" ;) skit.

Scene: A cafe. One table is occupied by a group of Vikings wearing horned helmets. Whenever the word "Manbeef" is repeated, they begin singing and/or chanting. A man and his wife enter.

Man: Well, what've you got?

Waitress: Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and Manbeef; egg bacon and Manbeef; egg bacon sausage and Manbeef; Manbeef bacon sausage and Manbeef; Manbeef egg Manbeef Manbeef bacon and Manbeef; Manbeef sausage Manbeef Manbeef bacon Manbeef tomato and Manbeef;

Vikings: (singing/chanting) Manbeef! Lovely Manbeef! Lovely Manbeef!

Waitress: ...or Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and Manbeef.

Wife: Could you do the egg bacon spam and sausage without the Manbeef then?

Waitress: Urgghh!

I mentioned this thread in the Beyond 500 yards forum and told Billy D that I would resurrect it for him. Glad to see that you guys are keeping it alive and kicking. Somehow, I doubt that he is going to sit down and read all 30 pages of it. Heck, I have only read a page or two, if that.

muledeer 02-25-2005 05:25 PM

Make my day!!

Just got back from vacation and ManBeef is "again" up and running. Thanks Fabs! I think ManBeef has been going on for at least two years or so. Just typing this makes me hungry.
Hey Skinny, maybe you could post a pic of Rocky and I downing a couple of ManBeef beers (ManBeers, a franchise of ManBeef).:p :p

Tater 02-25-2005 08:15 PM

Anyone who can't cook and drink at the same time don't belong near a grill. Maybe that's why he keeps crashin the board. ;)

BILLY D. 02-25-2005 10:04 PM

HI FABS

I ADMIRE A PERSON WHO IS TRUE TO HIS WORD. THANK YOU: I THINK. I READ THE FIRT PAGE AND TRIED TO HIT THE WEB SITE. IT HAS EXPIRED. AS SHOULD THIS THREAD. IN MY INNOCENSE AND INQUISITIVENESS I WONDERED WHAT IT WAS ABOUT.

I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS BRIGHTEST BULB IN THE PACK, BUT AFTER READING A COUPLE OF PAGES IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG TO FIGURE IT OUT.

UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS RIGHT BEFORE DINNER. I SUDDENLY REALIZED I WASN'T REAL HUNGRY ANYWAY. GEEE, I JUST ATE YESTERDAY.

AS MUCH AS I APPRECIATE? YOUR EFFORT, YOU CAN PUT THAT THREAD BACK TO BED.

BY THE WAY, I GOT QUITE A LAUGH OUT OF SOME OF THE REPLIES.

THANKS? AGAIN.

fabsroman 02-26-2005 12:03 AM

Billy,

You asked, I delivered. See, not all attorneys are liars. Well, not complete liars anyway. LOL

I never said this was one of the best threads on here, just said that the thread in Beyond 500 Yards might be able to stay around and get as long as this one. As you can see, there is a lot of posting on this thread and there are probably posts on this thread from people that no longer frequent the board. This is just a great thread as far as length, number of posts, and number of posters is concerned. Now, if we were to rate it based on original content, well you get my drift.

BILLY D. 02-26-2005 12:31 AM

FABS

THANKS AGAIN.

I THINK THIS FALLS IN THE CATEGORY OF "BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU ASK FOR".

BY THE WAY, I HOLD YOUR PROFESSION IN A HIGH STATE OF ESTEEM.

captain2k_ca 02-26-2005 11:28 PM

I love lawyers..........

Especially in a nice gravy, with sauteed mushrooms...........mmmmmmm........

muledeer 04-12-2005 04:28 PM

I dedicate the resurrection of ManBeef to Fabs!!:D
I understand that captain2k_ca had to move his residence due to a lack of neighbors. Hmmm, somethings cooking in the neighborhood. :D

fabsroman 04-12-2005 05:26 PM

Thanks muledeer, and me being the ever inquisitive person that I am, I just had to check out who brought this thread back again and why they did it.

Again, thanks for keeping me in mind.

Captain,

Hope everything went smoothly with the move, just as long as you aren't moving anywhere close to Maryland. LOL

icequeen 04-12-2005 05:39 PM

there's gotta be something bout this thread that just compels ya to check it out every time it comes to the top.

captain2k_ca 04-13-2005 01:36 AM

Word to the wise........

Took an hour and a half to unload it all........had a few friends over to help :D:D

Figure it'll be at least 40 years before we get it all sorted out :D

muledeer 04-14-2005 02:55 PM

Rocky Raab 04-14-2005 10:08 PM

This is my forum so, I have to read the posts.

I read the last few posts in this thread every 20 pages or so.

Hey muledeer, whattaya mean manbeer? That was eleventeen trips to Reno ago! It's been ManGin the last few times!

Of course, when you and I have dinner with the County Coroner, I suppose this IS a suspicious thread, huh? No wonder you ordered chicken wings last Saturday...can't disguise 'em!

muledeer 04-18-2005 04:09 PM

Rocky

Wow, can't believe it. As plain as the nose on my face!! We had dinner with the County Coroner and it never dawned on me what a great source for ManBeef. Now I know why he was....plump:D
muledeer

captain2k_ca 04-18-2005 07:59 PM

FromBearCreek 08-17-2005 07:33 PM

Sorry about the thread necromancy, but I stumbled across this tonight. It immediately reminded my of all my old HuntChat buddies, and the Thread That Wouldn't End.

So, enjoy.

TreeDoc 08-17-2005 07:46 PM

Good to see you, Ward! Hey, great job reviving "the thread!" Do I sense a new thread coming on....perhaps the "HUFU" thread? :D

Ward, are you anywhere near Glenwood Springs? I'm going to up there hunting the 3rd Rifle Season (Nov 5), and was curious if you were in that part of CO or somewhere else.

Take care!

FromBearCreek 08-19-2005 10:22 AM

I'm in Aurora, east of Denver, so I'm quite a ways from there. I've hunted a lot in the are south of Eagle and over towards Glenwood. There are always lots of elk in the area - you should have a great hunt.

muledeer 08-19-2005 04:03 PM

Ward

I'd be carefull now that TD knows what town you live in, especially if you're in the phone book. TreeDoc hunts more than elk. I'd hate to think what Doc will do if his elk hunt is unsuccessful:eek:
BTW thanks for bringing up the ManBeef thread again. We must never forget:D
muledeer

TreeDoc 08-19-2005 04:14 PM

You're blowin' my cover, mule!

:D

BTW...what are you hunting this year?

FromBearCreek 08-19-2005 04:15 PM

All part of my plan, Muledeer. I'm setting a Treedoc trap. I'm reliably informed that prices on Treedoc hides are higher than they've been in years, so I'm planning on cashing in.

TreeDoc 08-19-2005 06:00 PM

I'm sitting here with orange fingers from eating Crunchy Cheetos in an attempt to enlarge my soft white underbelly thus making my hide far more valuable.

FromBearCreek 08-19-2005 06:10 PM

Thoughtful of you.

Tater 08-19-2005 08:18 PM

Thanks for that visual Doc, I didn't need to finish my dinner anyway.

6.5s4ever 10-17-2005 05:17 PM

What a sight Tree Doc with Cheetos!

Hey Doc you remind me of the guy on the commercial for Ikea ,He is sitting on a white sofa and calls his white poodle over to wipe his yellow hands off from eating Cheetos! I can see it now:D

tide12 10-18-2005 09:32 PM

come on now were all guys here and i dont too much care to be talkin about the manbeef and such. it goes against the grain and all my morals

Tater 10-18-2005 09:38 PM

I think you got this all wrong. You should go back and read this thread from the begining.

muledeer 11-15-2005 03:46 PM

TD

As promised:

Happy Birthday Tree Doc
:D :D :D :D :D
muledeer

TreeDoc 11-15-2005 04:18 PM

I love having a birthday whenever I feel like it!! :D

Skinny Shooter 02-19-2006 06:41 PM

Bumped back to the top cause the "Know what you're shooting thread" is starting to catch up...

Anyone care for a side-dish of slightly peppered Texas lawyer? :D
