For sentimental reasons, a .30-06 Rem 760 pump that belonged to my dad.

For a gun that I purchased, a .35 Rem 141 pump. I use it most times for deer hunting. Sweet little rifle.

A mid 60s Remington 1100 that I inherited from my dad.30 inch full choke barrel. Been told a hundred times I can't shoot steel through it. Tell this gun that!! Patterns BBs like a champ, and has killed more game than I can ever remember. My dad shot it well too. Heart surgery made him give up bird hunting, so I got this gun. 8 sets of seals so far, but still smacks the birds. Oh, it has the most pertiful walnut stock you ever saw too.
It will never be traded or sold. Just used until it, or I, quit. Then maybe my son will try to wear it out.

My favorite gun really is my 30-30. It’s a Marlin 336CS. My wife gave it to me after we had been married about two years. It has see through scope mounts and just feel natural to hold and shoot. It went through a house fire Christmas day 1993 and I thought it was a goner. Gun smith checked it out, refinished the wood and Parkerized all metal parts that were exposed to the heat. He said the gun was ok to shoot. I mounted a new scope and still enjoy shooting it. It is what I call a great “woods” gun because its light, compact for thick cover and good for any game in the Southeast out to 125-150 yards.

my fav gun to hunt with is my 7400 06 carbin my wife got it for me in 87 i killed a bear with it the first time i yoused it.
She has supported my hunting and never given me a hard time or about the cost

Mine would have to be my Remington Sportsman 58 shotgun my grandfather gave me as a keepsake before I was born. Grandpa was going in for surgery while mom was pregnant with me and the outcome looked pretty bleak. He gave this gun to my dad for safekeeping for me in case he didn't make it. He made it OK, but I still got the gun. Granpa passed away before he could ever see me shoot it though, but it is one of my most cherished possessions.

Boy that's a tough one -- you got the sentimental tugs and then you got the hunting tugs.

So I must list two like some others.

Sentimental: Marlin 1894 lever, octagon barrel, 30-30 my Dad gave me before he passed away. Weighs a ton but the memories . . .

Practical: For hunting, has to be a combination gun, 20ga over a 30-06 with a hornet barrel sandwiched on the side, Blaser BD880. Had to save a lot of TDY money to get that one, but it is my #1 "go to" pick out of the rack.

My fav is my first centerfire rifle I could call my own, a gift from Dad when I turned 16 back in '76 a Marlin 1894 in 44 magnum, it has accounted for countless pigs and a few deer. A also cherish my Ruger 10/22 which was also a gift from Dad at an earlier date. As a belated wedding present he bought me a little Sterling 305S stainless 22 auto which I had been eyeing for several months as newlywed living in the seedier part of town.
Also there's a model 70 Winchester 30-06 that my Pa-in-law gave me several years ago which has accounted for most of my deer and a few sheep.
I have more expensive guns but the ones above are priceless!
