First was with a shotgun, most were with muzzleloaders last 25 years, best deer were with the bow.

My first deer weapon was a Winchester 30-30. Shot a heck of a lot of shells that first year with it. Couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with it. Never shot one since. I'm positive it was more the shooter than the guns fault, but it was a great time anyways and some great forgettable memories. Have a great day!--tr

shot my first deer in the Big Scrub section of the Ocala National Forest. I was 7, and used a Stevens 20 ga single shot , with a foster slug. I still have the recovered slug and the shotgun :)

This is a great thread. I am surprised that I haven't seen it until now. I am surprised at the number of "other" means used.
