Oh yeah. That's the delta country. I live in the northwest part of the state. I prefer the hill country. In regards to the size of the place we have a lot of those places. I guess that's why I love it here. I live in russellville ar. It's population is something like 25,000. It's a nice little community, we have a university. It's very convenient but I would rather live farther away. Too many people for me.

I married a girl from michigan. It's been almost 30 years and my family still treats it as something of a mixed marriage. What I've found is an awful lot of what we think of as north/south differences are really more city/rural differences. My wife's from a small town in southern michigan. Her parents even used a lot of the words my grandparents did. There was still a great difference in the accent tho. When we first met I could only understand just about one word in five. ;)

One word in five is about standard for some southern boys. An ol'boy from Ky. once told me I talked faster than he could think.

I've run into a couple of nice californians from around the bakersfield area but as for the rest I wouldn't give you a plug nickle for. Unfortunately you can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting a one of em. I'll take a rural yankee any day over one of those peckerwoods.

I'm actually a transplant from Western Kansas. Been in Mass since about 1970. Still my roots are in the country. I just kinda deal with city life. Retiring for good in a few years and suspect we will be moving then. Till then its Crooked Pol's and Kerry. Try as I may they are still here and will always be.

What's mass like? What do you think of the people? Do you like it? I'm guessing you don't but I could be reading you wrong. Ya know we have dummy politicians out here too, tho I think they have the worst of them.

I have lived in Texas, Ohio, Florida, and Colorado but still love Texas. I am not trying to look or talk down to your state residence, but I love Texas. We are still for the most part a Republican state. I just hope the liberal hippies do not decide to move here and poison our state.

Don't get me wrong I have loved every state, but it is the left wing loonies that are poisoning the country.

Don't look now but you're losing your state. As I understand it the most popular baby boy's name is jose'. Good luck with that.
