On your belt, in your pocket, in your pack? I'll have a Cold Steel SRK on my belt, a Schrade Old Timer fixed blade w/ gut hook in my pack and a Leatherman Super Tool in my pack. I figure that about covers anything that may come up from field repairs to building a shelter to hand to paw combat with a mountain lion:eek: . Whatcha got?

I keep a Case "Peanut" model on me at all times (I'm a little boy at heart I guess) and will be using my Cabelas Guide series folder for my field dressing duties for another season. It's done me well the past few years.

i'd take on barny or a lil kitty with this pointy thing, but i do carry a bone saw fur the big boned critters or if i find a winter kill with horns. a leatherman multi in the pack fur pullin ivories and nut&bolts

I have a Spyderco, Delica, or a Superknife.

When I work security I have a Safe keeperIII, along with a ASP baton and "puppy pepper".
I want to get a Surefire tactical flashlight, but I cant force myself to spend so much money for a flashlight.

My leathermen is usualy in my truck when I need it the most :rolleyes: .

A Gerber multitool in my hunting pack, and a Buck Vanguard.

We only have Bobcats, so I think carrying a trench wepon isnt needed here.

in my "fanny pack" which only gets slung over my shoulder is a "mountain man" Mike (the beaver ball guy) channing mi. made deer antlered handle custom small blade knife,a bark river prototype woodland special,barkriver gleneagle axe and wouldn't be without my sagen pelvic bone saw @ around 17 dollars them babies are tuff to beat!!!! oh also a browning replacable blade folding saw...add that up and dang im haulin some weight but i've just about got every job covered...normally i do just leave the axe back at camp!!!!

USMC Kabar 7.5" none serrated, and or Camillius version of same.

I also carry a Camillius Dura-Stag Two-Blade Folding Hunter when squirrel hunting. And have been known to pack my good old trusty Sharpfinger (The little one without the guthook)

You can never have to many good knives.

Usually carry a leatherman all the time. Not one with a lot of bell and whistles but with just enough stuff tok "get by" in a pinch.

For most of my hunting l use a small buck lite folder with about a 3" blade. Its about 15 years young now and is just enough to get any field work done. Unfortunally I cannot find this. Seems to hiding on me somewhere in this house so my backup is a Scharade Old Timer.

I do have a tone of fixed blade knifes but they just don't make it out anymore.

I'm checking out the SOG's to see if they might work.

Check this Camillus out

Got a kershaw spring assisted clipon that is always on my right pants pocket. Also used to cary a Buck "swiss army" style knife on my keychain but the chain it was hooked to broke and I have since misplace the knife.

I think my favorite folder is a SHARP brand folding lockblade that my cousing got me for Christmas one year many moons ago. It sharpens easy, stayed sharp and will shave the hairs off your but if you know how to use a sharpening steele.

Also have a couple Franklin mint collectors knove and a whole drawer full that I rarely use.

But the kershaw, the buck and the Sharp are my main go to knives

I usually have a small BenchMade folder in my pocket. I carry my Swiss Army knife or a Leatherman on my belt.
If I am out hunting, I usually have one of my Randalls, but I have a lot of other knives that I like to use also. One favorite is a old Clauss skinner, that was my Grand Dad's.

Is that in "as issued" condition? I've never seen one with wood handle. All the K-bar's I've seen have had the leather washer handles.

My grandfather did some work as a electrical contractor in the Camillus knife factory many years ago. He got the blade there. When I was around 15yrs I found the blade at my famly hunting camp.
My other grandfather has made many knifes, and we decided to finish making this knife.
Ofcorse we can do alot better than simply leather wrap the handle. We used oak and walnut for the handle itself. The finger guard was cut from an old brass Chritsmass odimate, shaped as heart. I have an uncle that works in aluminum recycling. He first found a aluminum shaped eagal head from a cain. but he wanted it for a endcap for a crudy dive knife he was making
:( . So he gave us a small aluminum block. We cut and shaped the block as the endcap. Geting the pin to go through the endcap and the end of the blade was the hardest part,. My grandfather and I then got some good leather for the sheath. He then showed me how to stich leather, also abit of a pain.

As you can see "U.S. Camiluss" was stamped into the blade. So it is a Camillus. Just not "as issued";)

I always carry my leatherman for those small emergencies, for deer and elk its always my Marvel with 4 5/8" blade.

i also pack the shrade fixed blade gut hook because its small aand handy. then theres a folding alpha hunter with gut hook that mey be in pack. feild dressed a few deer with this and it worked very well for me.

ive got a few of the bigger alpha hunter knives that may not get packed. i like smaller knives like the mini alpha and the shrade. ohhhh my gerber gator will definatly be going. this knife has been with me on 5 mule deer. works great and the handle never slips ount of my hands even when coated in blood and melting snow.

In my pack i carry a Spyderco Moran DP fixed blade, Surefire C3, Inova X5 w/ Green LED's, and Sog Pocket Power Plier.

For EDC i have a Surefire E2D, Spyderco Native, Spyderco Navigator, Coast Tac Torch (LED light, coat pocket). The knives get switched out pretty often and in the next few days i'll have a Boker Subcom that was a gift from the designer CLB.
