I've had an airgun almost constantly since I was 9. I recently gave my crosman to my younger sister, So I'll probably pick one up in the near future.

I have wanted a good one for quite a while now. Just when you think you have the money saved to get something, something else comes up, the car breaks down, your washing machine dies, etc... Does anyone else have that kind of luck?

Mine is almost 35 years old and works as well as the day it was made. Was my first long gun (I wanted a .22 but this was a "compromise"! LOL) Folks figured that I'd soon get tired of pumping the dern thing up.
The leather seals have only been replaced once in all the years I've had it. Still works great for plinking and chasing critters outta da garden.
The ones I see advertised today look identical to mine, but the price has sure gone up.
Wonder how much lead that thing has spewed over the years?? LOL

Anyways...... I am looking for a 1000 fps pellet rifle to take out squirrels with. It must be under $150. Anybody have any ideas? Please include the websid\te you found it at if possible.

well, kuntry kid, a 1000 fps pellet gun under 150$ is easy to find at wal mart.

I would love a RWS 48, or better yet a 54. But thats alot of money.

I shoot the RWS 45, 54 as well as a Model 5 RWS springer handgun. They are absolutely great. But, my buddy got the Beeman R 9 on my advice. You have to try that trigger to believe it's for real.
You may be able to get a Winchester, Gamo or another RWS knock- off for $150 but like anything else you get what you pay for. I know from fixing several of them.
Generally the triggers are rough with 6 or 7 lb pull and lots of plastic in the action. A light crisp trigger is all important to accuracy in any gun. And sooner or later the plastic will be a problem.
