what priority did you need in that wmu for the mulies and bull moose?
i was up there this fall and talked to some land owners and was toiling with the thought.

MODEL 70
i WAS USING A 338MAG AND THE 211" WAS SHOT WITH A 338/378 AND THE 188" WAS SHOT WITH A 338/378 ALSO AND HE SHOT HIS MOOSE WITH A 338MAG.
GHOSTSTALKER
I WAS A PRIORITY 3 FOR MULE DEER AND HE GOT DRAWN FOR BULL MOOSE WITH A PRIORITY 2 CALLING SEASON.WE DID ALSO GET A COW ELK THAT TRIP TOO.I WAS DRAWN FOR THAT ALSO.PRIORITY 4 ON THAT.

see any elk? i didn't see any country that would house elk in that area. mind you i didn't explore too much.

wtail 11-12-2004 07:44 PM

we started to see elk later in the week.I think that they were so presured druring the rut the weeks prior from us being there. There also was alot of pipelining going on in the hot spots for elk so they got pushed out of there regular hang outs.A guy I was with missed a huge bull crossing a line.He figures he was well into the 300+ classs. They are tough to hunt also because where there was elk there wasn't a chance you would get permission.:(
