Quick ? about a Legacy...

There is a Mathew Legacy a guy who is selling in Michigan and he's coming back from Indiana on Thursday and he's planning on stopping by. This is a bare Legacy, comes with a new string, limb savers and that's it. He wanted $400, I offered $350 and he took $375. Is this a good deal on a bare Legacy? It's a 2003 model and he says it's in Excellent condition. I know I'm going to jump on it, just carious on what everyone else thinks about it.

Thanks a lot

Mike

It's probably a fairly good deal. It was a $6-700 bow two years ago.
Just make sure its the correct draw length and weight for you. If the draw length is too long or too short, it'll cost another $60 for the right cam.
Even though he says it has a new string, check for fraying of the string and cable. Strings are cheap, but may be able to use that to knock the price down.

I agree with Feathermax, as long as it fits you, then yes, it's not a bad price, but check it over, make sure there are no chips on the limbs and the string looks good.

Thanks guys. I emailed him and asked a lot of questions. He said it's in top notch shape. I just got a call from him yesterday since he's stopping by. Maybe tomorrow evening I'll have some new pic's of my new/used bow. The boy has a 29.5 draw lengh which would be perfect for myself and it's #70lbs which is also perfect.;)

I was planning on buying a Mathew's Outback in the summer, but if this Legacy is good as new, I'm sticking with that for a few years. If I did get an Outback, be prolly over $1000 with everything I want for it :(

Well this is what she looks like. I still need a rest on it. Not sure if I'm going to go with the drop away or like a mathews micro rest.

I will advise you to consider putting trophy taker shaky hunter drop away rest on it.
A rest and a short stabilizer and your set.
