trailer bearing question

Getting ready to replace the bearings on my two trailers for my boats. My question is: what is the best grease to use for bearings on a boat trailer? I've been told to use "marine grease" (whatever that is:confused: ), or is regular bearing grease o.k.? Thanks in advance.

When I had a boat and also on my utility trailer we use(d) Lithium grease and Bearing Buddies. :)

Absolutely. Marine grease is Lithium grease in most cases. Regular axle or bearing grease will break down in water. And yes, even your sealed bearings will leak.
