Hummer
Just saw an ad for the Hummer H3.
Hummer is the only company that I know that has gone from a great product, the original Hummer, and made it worse so that more people can afford it. I wish Ferrari would do something like that. By the way, it kills me to say that Hummer initially had a great product because they are a GM company and I am a diehard blue oval owner. |
As far as I am concerned a hummer would be worthless as a hunting vehicle. I would like to see you get one down a couple of two tracks I was scouting turkeys on today. That is with out tearing the fenders off.
The original hummvees were tested on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes just west of where I live. They didn't fare out very well. They rolled one over and a bunch of guys got broke up pretty bad. I have a copy of an early advertizement booklet. The cover shows it parked in front of the Little Point Sauble Lighthouse. |
WOW! If they rolled an H1 they must have been trying to roll it. I do agree about the width, though. I think that would be my only beef with one. Most of the roads I travel are narrow enough that I scraped the sides of my Cherokee, I couldn't imagine trying to take an H1.

Areas I have hunted would have Hummer parts striped off all over the place. They need to be left in the yuppy driveways lol

Hell my Uni-Mog will out go the Hummers all day long

Fabsroman,
I just saw what every good lawyer needs on ebay. A hummer limo. |
Multibeard,
I must not be a "good" lawyer because I see no need for me having a Hummer limo, much less any other limo for that matter. I am getting married in July and the limo selections that fit my bridal party were a Ford Excursion, Cadillar Escalade, or Hummer. I went with the Ford. |
You can get the true mil surplus hummers in the 18-25k range in green white and beige. I want one with a couple of bullet holes in it so those dents and dings give her a real personality.

Hawkeye,
Most of my clients know that I am extremely conservative and would never be driving around a Mercedes, Lexis, or Acura even if I had the money. First of all, I cannot bring myself to buying a car made by a Japanese company. Second of all, I can think of a lot better things to do with the money than spend it on a car. Now, I might eventually buy a Lincoln and/or Mercury, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon because the Taurus, F-350, or my fiance's Hyundai Sonata (sheesh) would have to blow up and they all seem to be running fine right now, knock on wood. Of course, I am hoping for the demise of the Hyundai before any of the others so that I can have a complete Ford fleet once again, but I am still hoping to get several 100 thousand miles out of the Sonata. Believe it or not, a lot of my clients are in the construction industry and they think it is pretty cool when I pull up with an F-350 crew cab with a full size bed. I have one client that has the exact same truck as me, but it is one year older. |
