Family calls these things "dongle" birds because of their head gear.
We're being overun with them. The males squawk like a cross between a mini-peacock and a mini-crow. California quale, I guess. They are fun little birds |
HI ROY
NICE SHOT OF A BEAUTIFUL BIRD. WHAT KIND OF RIG ARE YOU USING, SCOPE AND CAMERA? SURE LOOKS GOOD TO THESE OLD EYES. |
28 views and no one commented on the bird
I incorrectly identified the bird. Its a Gambels Quail.
Scope is Nikon, camera is an Olympus digital. Its all held together on a 1 X 4 with holes in the right places for 1/4" all-thread to fasten the components. Great fun. |
HEY PARDNER
THANX FOR THE FEED BACK ON THE EQUIPMENT. I LOVE TAKING PICTURES OF BIRDS AND ANIMALS. I COMMENTED ON THE BEAUTY OF THE BIRD, OR WAS I #29. LOL THANX AGAIN FOR THE PICTURE AND THE INFO. |
That is a purdy bird.
