1903 A3 Trigger Adjustment?

Aside from buying a timney, is there anything I can do to adjust a trigger for a 03A3? I have access and capability of milling machines & etc. Help would be appreciated...
Thanks DECOY

Welcome to the Forum.

DECOY,
Not sure if your rifle is still in military condition or sporterized. In any event, the standard issue 1903-A3 trigger does not allow for adjustment. A competent gunsmith may be able to carefully stone the sear engagement surfaces or even make the two-stage trigger into a single stage one. The Timney triggers are great and I have them on several 1903 and 1903A3 sporter rifles. A qualified gunsmith may need to fit the Timney trigger to get the sear and safety engagements correct to be safe and reliable. All the best...
