What do you hunt?
 

I know we tend to dwell on squirrels and rabbits in small game, what other small game do you hunt or have you hunted?

Its been alot of years since I have been on a coon hunt, myself. I know a couple of cajuns who possum hunt pretty often. And I once met a REAL redneck hillbilly walking a fence line with a burlap bag, a beer, and a flashlight. He was catching armadillos for supper. . . . . .

Would bullfrogs qualify as small game hunting or would that be fishing? What about turtles?

Racoons, Coyotes and crows.... or would that be varmint hunting?

Maybe it depends on weather er not you eat 'em. I know my Great Grandfather and I use to sell all the coons and possums we would get to some folks that lived around here.

I deer hunt some, and turkey hunt occassionally. Rabbits are starting to make a comeback, maybe next year I'll give that a try again. Use to love hunting rabbits with a good beagle. I like to squirrel hunt and have a couple of days off scheduled for next month just to squirrel hunt. I coyote hunt a lot and have saved all my vacation for that this year. I would like to crow hunt a little again, but seems like they are only around when the season is closed.

Squirrels, rabbits, waterfowl, grouse, woodcock and varmits. Oh yes doves, crows and pheasants. Think that covers most everything I hunt in small game. Notice I said hunt, now what I kill is a different story, but love to hunt.

Yup. You know often people ask if you could only hunt one type of game for the rest of your life. . . . . . blah blah blah.. . . . . fish fer one type of. . . . .blah blah blah. . . . . .

For me it would be huntin' squirrels, and fishin' fer perch. . . .

pheasant,waterfoul,racoon,pigeon,dove,
crow,ground hog,snapping turtle.

Anything that moves in my yard :D...and most game species in the state, and some non game. Deer, dove, turkey, rabbit, prairie dog, coyote, pheasant, quail, antelope, pigeons, crows...I'm sure there's more...but it might take me awhile to think of em.

I hunt a lot of deer and pheasants and quail back in nebraska. Once in a while I will get a chukar or a grouse. I go coon hunting once in a while with some friends. I'm going Elk hunting for the first time this year can't wait.
