When do the mule deer antlers quit growing?

Went scouting Saturday morning. Saw plenty of bucks. All in full velvet.

How much more growth can be expected from July 23?

Nice 3X3 looked like pretty full growth.

Smaller 4X4 was just nubs at the fork.

I would say mid August. I know they are not done yet or close. I have a buck I found last year and I found him yesterday in full velvet and his horns are not done yet. He has a split right ear and a grey strip across forehead.

If supersider was looking for him he must be a good one!
