My "Grits" is having surgery
Loaded up all the animals yesterday and drove to the vet for their shots yesterday, Grits, one of my pointers was examined and the vet did not like the size of one of his testicles. He recommended surgery on this upcoming Tuesday for him. Grits is one of my least demanding animals. Real sweet, doesnt bother anyone, never sick or has medical problems. But a real beast on the dirt. A great huntin dog. The vet said testicular cancer is a possibility here. We have been beside ourselves all night. Wish us luck....Val:(

The cause may be from many things and hope for the least serious . Let us know how he is doing .

Hope he comes through fine!

Thanks guys...

I hope everything turns out good for you. Give him a hug for me. I'll be thinking of him. As Nulle said keep us updated on how he is doing.

Grits came home this evening and is moving around pretty good, quite a few stitches I might say, metal ones...fed him a small dinner, ice and alittle ice cream...the drugs are still in him and he's sleeping alot...the vet sent the sample off and should know more in 48 hours or so...the vet did say he didnt see anything obvious and I took that as hopeful. Thanks for your thoughts and good wishes it might just have worked,,,thanks again

Glad to hear that he, and you all are doing well.

Poor Grits he is wearing that Elizabethan collar and the fact he is a timid little thing anyway, other than when he's huntin of course, every step is a little exaggerated and forget steps...I feel so sorry for him and his poor little nutso's are no where to be found...:(

Everything is sounding good so far. Keep up with the good thoughts Val and I'm sure everything will be ok. I know how you feel, but better that than losing your dog. Continue to keep us posted on his well being and I'll continue to say a little prayer for him. Take care of you and yours.
