New Toy

Here's a photo of my newest toy I picked up at our local gunshow this past weekend.

I haven't taken it out yet to try out, still waiting for the registration info to come in :(

Too bad I can't use it for gophers this year, need something to go with my .17.. lol

and what caliber would it be? i wouldn't have "a" ruger though.
i have three bh's, 3 security sixes, a single six, and a mark 2. they are great pistols.

you won't regret your purchase and the hassles that go with it.

have fun, and good shooting.

I guess I should have said, it is a Ruger single six in .22 (would like a mag cyl too, but that will have to wait, since I have to send it to Ruger for fitting.)

Just can't go wrong with the ruger revolvers. . . . . Gotta love them.

Great purchase. I just bought a used one a few weeks ago and made it to the range finally. It shot like a dream. I had great groups at fifty feet. I have mag cylinder with mine and plan on using it hunting. Allot fun at the range!

Nice Gun!!!

Toxic , Ruger 22 handguns I think are some of the best shooters in 22 rimfire out there. I have a target pistol of theirs that will shoot raggedy one hole groups with the right ammo! Nice Revolver Enjoy!!!!:D

I'm hoping it will shoot as good as it looks. I should be able to finally try it out next week... got the word today that all the paperwork is through.... just waiting for the certificate to show up in the mail.

Make you deal with redtape and paperwork!

It's too bad that they make you wait so long for all the paperwork and redtape after you have already purchased the gun. Here in PA I can go to my local Gunshop Buy a handgun They dial the phone after I have filled out my paperwork, and they Insta Check me. If That goes through ok I can take the gun home with me same day and shoot it!:D

Until this past March it was that way... My last handgun was purchased and taken home the same day.. all I needed was my auth to transport to take it to the range, that was a quick call, and a fax.

They changed it and it now has to go to the Chief Firearms Officer of the province before you get your certificate #. PITA I know... but at least I can own one, eventhough I can onl use it at the range.

i;m glad we don;t have that much problem in ok.

I inherited one of these from my step father. I have both cylinders. It is a well made, well machined tool whose quality is evident the moment you put your hands on it

The accuracy stinks.

What am I doing wrong? Should I use a different ammo? (I've tried five different ones and can't get better than six inch groups at twenty five yards. If you have a favorite, let me know.)

Also, make sure you get it retrofitted by Ruger to have transfer bar so that you can carry six shots in the cylinder; otherwise you risk having the gun discharge if it falls and strikes the hammer.

What are the chances of that happening? Met a guy three months ago who's lucky to have his leg...
