6.5,
Nice picture and a nice gun. I have a 4-inch 686 that I used in a tactical pistol match yesterday at my local club. I shot the 686 and a Colt M1911. My 686 is my favorite carry gun as I walk about the farm. Adam |
Learned to appreciate Older Smith's
Thanks Adam!, Lately I have learned to appreciate the older S&W revolvers ,the ones without the internal lock and MIM parts. They really are a work of art the way they have silky smooth double actions and fine tuned superb trigger let off. The only other revolver that I really would love to have would be an older Colt Python! But I really like Smith and Wessons.:)

Smith's and Colts
I have a few of the older Smith revolvers. I used to do a little trigger work on them. Really easy to get a great pull. Have a 586 somewhat like yours but it is tricked up a little.Did some trigger work on it and can say it has the best trigger I have ever used on a handgun..even in double action. I also have a late 60's Colt Python. 3 inch bbl but it really does have a pretty good trigger for a factory job. Pretty blue back then too. One of those guns I ought to sell as I hardly ever shoot it.

Let Me Know on The Colt
Skeet!, If you ever decide to sell the Colt I would be interested if the price was right.. Later Roy:)
