Hows was south dakota hunting
 

I was woundeing how the hunting went for all of the guys that went out to south dakota hunting. I went out in 05 and only got 5 bird thro out the week i was there. I dont know if it was were i was located or if i need a new dog!! LOL anyway give me some tips if your willing too! THX

very very very good pheasant hunting
 

there was a lot of birds in certain areas to be for sure. i hunted north of pierre sd and i was on private land and we limited out in 2.5 hrs (11 people). however, we saw a ton of birds on public ground in the area, and most people we talked to that were hunting it had birds, and got a lot of shooting in.

just driving on the way back to pierre we could of gotten 5 or 6 roosters just road hunting. maybe it was just one of those days they were out and about.

Last year was good over most of the State but this winter there was a bad ice storm in sections and will have to see what the brood count is in those areas this year.
