Range Finders - Rate 'em - 800 yds and beyond
I'm trying to learn something here. Thanks..

Well I put Leica in the lead, easy to do since I'm the first voter!!
Seriously though, I have the BRF 10x42s and are they nice, but they come at a price. It ranges over 1000 yards and will do that under even less than ideal conditions. I have only used the Bushnell 400s previously, and it's not really fair to compare them, but at the price the Swaro's and Leica's go for, who can afford to try more than the one they bought!! Anyway, the Leica's are superb, and the best part about them is they are built in the binocular, so there's no dragging two pieces of equipment around all the time, Waidmannsheil, Dom. |
I've got a Bushnell 800 compact, and it works fine for everything I need it for. Can't speak about the other, no experience with them.

Roy, can you add Bushnell to the list? I compared an Elite 1500 to a Leica 1200 Scan and could find no difference in ranging ability. A plus for the Bushie is that it is waterproof and the Leica is not.
