Dusted off the .45cal caplock...
Since I’d already dragged the .50cal, then the .54cal caplocks to the range over the holiday weekend, I couldn’t neglect the .45 any longer, so I ran fifty Speer .440s through the .45cal Hawken Cougar this morning…pretty rifle

roundball,
NICE photos and nice gun. Now, what about the rest of the story? How did it shoot, at what range, what propellant, patch type, lube type, etc.? Finally, how do you clean and preserve your rifle bores? Adam |

Good looking rifle. Sounds like you had a good day at the range.

I converted another Cougar whose stock is almost as nice...for example if we called the caplock stock a "10", the one I converted to a Flintlock (below) would be an "8.5" or "9", and it converted just fine... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6.../111904--1.jpg |
Yep...she's a beauty.
