What do you think of the actions of this 2nd Amend supporter.

In Pa, the CCW is for concealed carry not open carry. Pa does allow open carry in the state but most folks know enough that these days it may get you a visit to the local mental health facility for a check-up. He could have his license revoked for flashing his weapon from the story above. I'm surprised the trooper did not cite him for what he did. I often hear this guy on the radio and he is an ardent citizen. But, his latest actions may end up hurting us rather than helping. |
Sounds extreme....where I'm from, even a CCW can be revoked for 'hazardous' handling of the gun!

Good intentions, bad taste.

If you go into a town meetin, carry your sidearm "just cause you can" and have a sensible, adult argument....that is wonderful. Goin in there playin peek-aboo with his shirt and the cops and hollerin .....that's just stupid. It gets you nowhere and it does not impress the ladies. Might impress the homos though...lol :p BTW, that would be legal to do in va too...with the exception of federal buildins |
Sounds like he's a brick short of being a full load to me. Those kind of diatribes due nothing to promote our cause.
As far as brandishing, thats nothing but childish behavior in my opinion. There are lots of things we can do because there is no law against them, but they are not prudent to do because they simply are not proper. Even most gun owners have a sense of proper deameanor about them, this guy is obviously the exception to the rule. I have noticed this conundrum before in folks who come to this country, become citizens and become OVER patriotic. Not all, but some. Moderation is the key word here. Thats a word that seems to have lost it's value in America lately. The sine wave is either at the top or at the bottom nowadays. No happy medium, and thats a shame. This individual is doing nothing to promote the cause and he's making the rest of us look bad. While 99% of us are behaving as ladies and gentlemen this bone head is behaving like a three year old. He needs a boot in the a$$. Bill |
Me and Billy posted at the same time....lol.. hi Billy ;)

What Billy said
|
The fellow seems wound a bit too tight. He might not be the best sort to represent the Second.

Fight the Fight COOL! BUT this guy is over the hill, skitzo is about where he's at.

Just because you have the right to do something does not mean you SHOULD. this is the lesson in citizenship that the foaming at the mouth radicals never learn. The difference is well illustrated in the old axiom about three different kinds of people, and what they ask themselves when presented with a choice.
The legalist asks, Can I? The Libertine asks, Shall I? And the prudent man asks, SHOULD I? |
I think Billy nailed it.

I agree with Billy, another way to say he doesn't have all the cups and saucers in the cupboard.
Acting responsibly will reflect MUCH better not only on yourself, but all gun owners. You've seen, I've seen it -- as they say a few bad apples spoils it for everyone, i.e., because of the irresponsible few everybody has to suffer with further restrictions across the board to everyone. Just because you CAN does not mean you SHOULD, big difference, JMHO, Waidmannsheil, Dom. |
