ccw while hunting now legal in PA
 

i dont think i have mentioned this before and it seems to be news to a lot of people i talk to. ccw permit holders can now pack while hunting and spotlighting in PA, must say this is something i have looked forward to for a long time, now of course you cant shoot a deer with a semi auto but you can carry it for self defense while hunting. great new law, that should have happened a long time ago, on more than one occassion i have wished i had a piece while bow hunting

Thanks for the PA CCW update. I just read that recently.

I believe my state representative was the prime mover on the bill.

Florida has done something similar. The weapon must be "of the type used for personal protection" (my quotation marks) or something worded to that affect. I don't have a copy of the law in front of me, so I advise Florida hunters to check first.
