Lightfield Slugs

Anyone use Lightfield Commander or Hybred slugs? Your thoughts? How do they stack up in comparison to other saboted slugs for rifled barrels in their effectiveness on game?

I have my eye on an H&R Ultra Slug Hunter, and while Lightfields are well-touted (especially by Lightfield itself), I'd like to hear some real opinions.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Lighfield sabots (the hour glass shaped ones) shoot real well out to 175 yards in my rem 870.

Might try out the hornaday slugs as they expand better and fly true like the lightfield out to 175,

If longer range is not an issue the federal barnes expanders are great out to 110 yards when that big hollowpoint starts to keyhole the slug but under 100 yards these are truely amazing slugs for whitetail.

you got to see what your slug barrel likes as my barrels hates remmington buckhammers and solid coppers but friends bps shoot the buckhammers better that the barnes.

In the ultraslug hunter i would get a box of the federal barnes and see what you get for a starting point. if you hit in the boiler room you woun't need a follow up shot.

I have taken to shooting winchester partition golds i can not say in words how good they are most dont beleave me.
Most the deer guys in my group shoot are well past 100 yards and the longest shot has been 226 paces.
I have been hereing good things about the hornaday rounds but have not tryed them.
The thing with these hot sabots are they are running 20dollers a box and getting to shot to no them will cost.
