I honestly don't know, Kev. The company changed hands some time back, and I haven't heard or seen a word about the product since then.
Let me do some looking and report back, willya? In the meantime, I get good results by just tapping every tenth case into my tin of Imperial Sizing Die Wax. That lubes the expander just fine. |
thanks rocky !

The stuff from Posness Warren works great also. It's called STOS. It was quickly re-named Slicker Than Owl S#!T by the shooting community. Put a little on each palm, rub your hands together like you are washing them, pick up some cases, roll them between your hands and they are lubed, the cases that is. I like Imperial but "I" think the STOS is better. Like Imperial it will not affect powder. Best wishes, Bill By the way, Fastex is sold by a company in Minnesota. I'm headed put to eat. I'll be back later. I'll look it up. |

Fastex used to offer a Case lube which is good, Barrel lube which is rubbish and bullet lube which I could never tell any difference. I used the barrel lube to try and control copper fouling build up in a particilar .270 rifle and it seemed to help so when I acquired a new Mauser M96 Slide Bolt in 6.5x55 I treated the barrel on that from new. About a year or so later whilst inspecting the rifles I noticed copper fouling at the muzzle so cleaned the rifle with copper remover and discovered light pitting under it
Contacting the agent for my area fro Fastex they were unhelpful then a few weeks later I am informed that he is out of work as they have closed up shop  it seems they did this to counter any claims as I was not the only complaint. The Fastex also reacted with the Forrest Foaming bore cleaning and caused rust on at least one other rifle. I am still using their case lube but the bottle is getting low and I will change to another product when it's finished. However I would advise caution with the other Fastex products as it seems that if you encounter problems they cut and run. |
