REVIEW: Wheeler Engineering Bench Block
1 Attachment(s)
I purchased a wheeler engineering bench block the other day in anticipation of the need I will have IF my parts ever arrive from auto-ordnance. This simple blue polymer block is 4" diameter and about 1 1/4" thick. It has holes, cutouts, and areas already set to aid in working on 1911A1 pistols, and I look forward to using it for that. In the mean time I had quite a few other little projects to work on and found that the block works well if drifting the front sight on a rifle barrel. It works like a champ for most every project I have use it with so far, from taping in loose pins, to drifting sights. For $16.99 plus chipping and damaging I don't know how I did without it all these years.

GOB, that looks like a nice tool.
I confess, being the cheap SOB that I am, my bench block is a scrap piece of 2x8 with a bunch of holes drilled in it. |
One of the upsides to this one Jack is that it won't mar a finish.
