WWII 9MM Browning
 

Hi all New to the forum. Have a question I have been wondering about.
I have a Browning 9mm. It was made for the German army WWII. It has a swastika on the side. Does that increase price much??

Yes, Nazi proofs add to the value of a Browning Hi-Power pistol. If you have the issue holster, capture papers or any other original gear to go with it, you have a more valuable arm. Another plus is the condition: Very Good to Excellent condition adds to the value.

Do the numbers match on the slide, barrel and frame?

The same. I see on another web page that you get about 25% more for a swastika (German markings). On GunBroker I see it might run $500-$600. I guess add 25% or there about. Just wondering if that might be ball park??

The Waffentamt Stamp was an eagle with a small swastika in the talons.

Many folks know stamps and proofs may increase the price of a firearm and lots of stamps are added when they are not legit. The serial number range may help in determining if a stamp is honest or an add-on.

The other mark you can often find on the Brownings made under German occupation is: WA40. Which I believe is the inspector's mark. The wa40 will be quite small.
