Redfield repair?

Is there some company out there that specializes in repairs to Redfield scopes? I have a 6 x 18 on a 17 Remington that looks like I am looking through a smoke cloud (very hazy)! I have cleaned the lens with an optical cleaning solution, but the problem has to be on the inside. Any help with the name of a reputable company or individual would be appreciated.

These guys are good, and stand by their work, ain't the fastest bunch in the world, but they specialize in Redfield, and El Paso made Weavers.

Redfield repair

Since Leupold bought out the Redfield line they may be repairing them now..but not the ones under the Meade ownership..of course it will not be free.

jon lynn & skeet, Thanks guys. It is a pretty good scope, but the haze drives me nuts. I will put both ideas in the address book.

Larryjk,

Sorry to find this on the Leupold page:

WARRANTY INFORMATION
When Leupold purchased Redfield in April, 2008, Leupold did not assume the Redfield warranty. Because many Redfield customers have contacted Leupold with regard to the former Redfield warranty, Leupold is making this information available to Redfield optics owners.

jon lynn, I have sent the scope to Iron Sight. I do a lot of Leupold business, but just felt I should try this company. Thanks for the information.

Guys I have had good luck with ABO, USA, Inc. This is their web site.

http://www.abousainc.com/

They will repair just about anything with glass in it. I have sent them several redfield scopes and a couple of other scopes, all repaired and not a problem. Iron Sight is a bit choosey as to the scopes they want to work on and are, by their own words, about 6 weeks behind.

The last scope I sent to ABO was a $700 plus retail scope that had moisture in it from abuse, a trade in. It cost me $50 to get it repaired and was back in in my hands in one week.
Best,
Ed

Hey

This is good info. I have an old Weaver I need to have new reticles put in.. Not a great scope..just one that has some memories attached

Hey Skeet, When you find out who does the repairs to Weaver scopes, let me know. I have at least two in the scope drawer that have one or both caps missing and I need to get them replaced. larryjk@tribcsp.com
