Another scope question

What makes a Muzzle Loader scope different than a rifle scope?

I was considering buying a Bushnell Trophy, but already have a Weaver CV9, and I am fixing to get a new Redfield 2-7, and was wondering, why couldn't I use one of these, as opposed to a black powder scope or shotgun scope.

Probably not a lot of difference between a standard rifle scope and an ML scope. Some models have a different reticle, some models may have the parallax set at less than 100 yards, or they might have a bit more eye relief than a standard rifle scope.
Maybe.
In a lot of cases, the difference is the writing on the box. :)
I think either of the scopes you have would work.

The difference in what the factory calls them depends on the yardage the parellax is set for. Unless you have an exceptionly accurate muzzle loader and are a very good shot you will not be able to tell the difference between them. I have a 2 1/2 X highpowered rifle scope on my 209-50 and have taken deer as close as 20 yrds. and as far as 189 yrds. with it.

What Catfish said..Just another way to separate a hunter from his money..seriously..And muzzleloader 209 primers?? and well y'all get the point

I used a shot gun scope on a 308 for many years. Parallex was set at 50 yards and never saw any difference with this and a 100 yard parallex scope. No problem out to 300 yards.

Use anything you want on a ML. I see no difference hower skeet has the right answer.

I you buy a scope and shoot the gun and no where it hits you are good what it the max range go with it most scopes will cover it
