Shot gun shells
 

Walking the fields during dove season and there are a lot of shells, among other things, lying around but that is another post. I picked them up and kept the brass hulls. What shells are absolutely one time and done and not worth the trouble to try and reload or do they make such a thing.

Most folks will tell you that anything that is a three piece design should only be reloaded once, then discarded.

Having said that, I have reloaded three piece hulls multiple times w/o any problems (16 gauge hulls can be extremely hard to find), but I do inspect them carefully prior to loading.

Most worthless, IMHO, are the Winchester polyformed hulls with the white plastic basewad.....I keep a few on hand to load up as blanks for dog training, but I gave up years ago trying to stuff powder, wad, and shot in one of these (hulls crush to easily).

After that, you might want to avoid European hulls (for the same reason), although I have had good luck with cheddite & rottweile hulls.

Lately I have standardized on the Remington "black beauty" unibody hull (in 12 gauge)......I can usually find thousands in the dumpster at the local range, and they are a one piece hull that I can get 3-5 loadings out of before the crimps go bad.
