Hunt Chat - Practice Results

After chasing antelope around and passing on 2 super bucks at less than 200 yards, I took this good goat at 409 yards. Not beyond 500 I know but I wanted to update all on the results of the practice.....

I would have loved to close the distance as we had on so many goats earlier in the day but we had chased these for over 3 miles and had spooked the group of about 30 twice. Finally, enough was enough, the shot was taken prone resting off a back pack across a valley with the goats on the opposing hill. Range was given with a Leica Geovid reading, wind was virtually non existant.
