Turkey call

So I'm thinking of giving turkey hunting a shot (no pun intended). I'm looking for a call that's easy to use and, more importantly, works. Any suggestions? Thanks

Box or slate call....easy to use from the get-go; diaphram calls work, but take some practice to master. Also, don't forget to get an instructional CD or DVD with the call.
Good luck!

Lynch makes some box calls that are really easy to use- and a box call is a call every turkey hunter uses. That's where I'd start.

Try the push button box call. Easy to use and they do work.

One thing I will say about friction (Box, slate, push button, ect) type calls....DON'T GET 'EM WET!!!! Otherwise, they are useless. I carry my box call in the plastic baggy that the newspaper comes in, and some folks use an old bread wrapper.

If you do buy a push button box do not buy a lynch. I borrowed my sons and the sound board split. Sent it back and they sent another. Next years same problem, used it for kindling.
