Favorite River loafing gun?
I was thinking about this the other day and I really been contemplating a little 22 revolver (or 22 mag) for the river. Right now I carry my snubnose 38 with shotshells in it, and a speed loader of hps just in case. How about you?

GOB,
My canoe-gun is an old parts gun M1911 that is an AMT frame, the rest consists of GI parts. I use a lanyard when on the water so when I flip the boat, the gun stays with me. I detail strip a sumerged .45, dry it oil it and reassemble it again. I use old brass with 200 grain cast SWC bullets to shoot at snappers and snakes along my route. Adam |
It depends what i am doing if i am just fishing its a 22 and if i am running bear baits i tend to take my old 870

I guess it would be my Ruger Single Six in 32 H&R Mag with a 4 5/8ths barrel. It is just a great trail, canoe whatever sidearm for me.

! second the Single Six. That way you get both 22LR and Mag cylinders. Stainless around water though.
