My half-faced Camp.

Old dawg and I finished the camp yesterday afternoon. Today we went into camp with the .50 smoothbore, the shooting bag, 4 gallons of water and the 'hawk. I built a fire in the fire pit and then shot the .50 smoothbore with ball at the 75-yard target frame from the camp table. After about 50 shots and one flint change, I put a 3-pound bean can in the firepit atop the coals. The can was full of water and had a piece of Ivory soap.

By the time I got my kit packed up and target down, the water was boiling. I cleaned the .50 in the water can, dried and oiled her and put her back in the case. For an encore, we tossed the 'hawk at a tree stump placed atop another stump. What a way to spend Labor Day. I hope everyone has as much fun as me and old Dawg did today.

Very nice Adam. I wish I owned my own land to that, someday I will. Yesterday I spent the day down in Elbridge for the new york state muzzleloaders meet. Nothing like spending the day with a bunch of friends making smoke.:)

I'd love to see some pics of your camp, Adam.

Jack,

I am computer challenged and the digital camera rarely cooperates. I will need to study some books in order to post pictures.
