Everything I've heard...........
about this gun is negative. I know 3 guys who bought one and none of them own them anymore because they were appauled at the fact that they paid premium money for a gun that would not shoot as well as a bargain basement Wal-Mart special. Gun writers hailed it when it was introduced and boy I thought I would look into getting one myself. I know 2 excellent gunsmiths one of which is a top flite rimfire match shooter and they both call them outright junk. I searched around and found a nice model 541 and am very happy with it. When you plunk down $600 for a rimfire rifle it had damn well better outshoot a $180 generic piece from Wal-Mart, and everything that I have witnessed with the 504 is that they don't. That's a darn shame because it is a handsome rifle. Ask a gunsmith and they shake their heads in disgust at what Remington is turning out. I own 8 different model 700's and love everyone but, the truth is everyone has been to the smith to clean up the sloppiness that got out of the factory
