I have two chessies, seven year old litter mates. They dont hunt but are very loyal and mild mannered. My problem is they shed 365 days a year and enough hair to make a new puppy daily. They are big dogs, the female 105 lbs and the male140 lbs and not fat. These dogs do love the water and will sneak across the road and into the river no matter how cold. They dont dry off quickly like my lab does. And they howl when they get bored.When they go off I am proud of how well they irritate my treehugging neighbors.
