Hi All,
Well I guess it nevers rains, nor is it damp with mist and fog here in England
I free Floated one rifle before I realised that it's not normally required, that rifle a Swedish Mauser sporting rifle shoots quite well, but I should have tried it out before floating the barrel

. I did recently bed one rifle due to poor stocking at the factory, the rifle was new in the box by the makers are no longer in business otherwise I would have sent in back. I accidently put to much filler in and ended up with a floated barrel. Accuracy was dismal.
Later I redid the job making sure the barrel had pressure at the ressure point in the forend and re-stested the rifle. Accuracy is much improved with groups that I have shot with some S&B 196 Grn SPCE going into 1.171". The rifle is chambered for 7.92mm (8x57) Now I want to get to the range proper and try it some more with some handloads as well. With the floated barrel the group was a pattern covering the target at about 6" and that was at 100 yards
