Didn't even notice that you used "heavy" instead of Hevi.

Hevi-Shot and Remington don't advertise that the shot is tear drop shaped and not perfectly round like steel. Probably because they don't want people to worry about scoring their barrels with it. However, the tear drop shape is what makes Hevi-Shot so aerodynamic and allows it to provide really good patterns (i.e., there are no fliers out of the pattern). Steel usually has a tighter shot string than lead because the pellets don't deform on firing and hence steel has less fliers than lead. The killing power of steel just sucks.
