Bluedot, I'll put it to Petey, but I personally believe that such a section would rapidly devolve into a political pissing pit.
We've stayed away from political forums for as long as we've been open, and I truly believe that it's one reason why we've also managed to stay a friendly and flameless board.
There are also numerous other sources for such bulletins, not the least of which are NRA-ILA email alerts. All you have to do is sign up for them - assuming you are an NRA member. And if you think you're concerned about the politics of guns but aren't an NRA member, you aren't really concerned.
