There are darn few guns that I've gotten that I haven't kept. I sold a Browning semi-auto 22 pistol to a son in law that I'm very fond of. I found that I generally like revolvers better.

I also gave away a Yugo SKS... tooooo ugly, and 5" groups at 100.

My first centefire rifle was a Browning bolt 223. Outstanding gun.

My next was a Browning 30-06 with BOSS. It's still for sale. The barrel is 2" shorter than they advertise, and the muzzle blast is impressive... might blow an elk over. Shot the muzzle brake version of the BOSS exactly once (Rocky tried to tell me....).

From there, I acquired a Swedish M96, which is about as fine a gun as I own. Then, on to a couple of Finnish M39's (one's for sale) which are best described as "sturdy", and also quite accurate, a Russian SKS (the adult Ruger 10/22), a custom 30-06 on a Mauser action (my basic "big gun"), a custom 6.5x55, and a 243. The present project is a 7x57. Oh, and there's a thoroughly worked over Yugo 8x57 in there, too. Not a bad little gun.

I think the only rifle I own that isn't also a military round is the 243. don't know why it worked out that way.

Handguns... .22 Single Six, .41 Mag Redhawk, 9x18 Makarov (simple, accurate, cheap). Dad gave me a military Hi Standard once. When we found out how rare they are, we had to undo that.
