Evan, sure you don't have that the other way around? Never heard that issue with the VX-III's. The 6-18 is a Vari-X II or VX-II and has always been the model with very critical eye relief. The optics are good but that eye relief issue made it tough as a Varmint Gun when you go prone, that's why a traded mine off and went to the X-III. Problem solved.

skeet, you just did what I just did. I strapped a new 4.5-14x40LR X-III with the B&C Reticle on my Weatherby Accumark 7mm STW and I stumbled on an excellent deal for a 8.5-25x50LR for my Accumark 22-250. These scopes are awesome!!
