God, I was laughing so hard from that post that I was crying. However, that post comes nowhere close to my story wherein Nitro crapped in my car while I was at the Ford dealer negotiating on my truck. I had initially bargained for trucks via e-mail from the office, and didn't want to spend more than 15 minutes at the dealership regarding this truck.
My fiance, who was my girlfriend then, was with me and when the salesman went to check with his manager for the 3rd time and after keeping us there for over an hour, just as they usually do, she went out to check on the dog. She came back and told me that he had crapped all over the car. I went out to check it out and he had pretty much stepped all over it and spread it through out the entire car. I took him out of the car and tied him to a pole so I could go back into the dealership.
The manager came out and asked me what price I would be willing to pay for the truck to drive it off the lot. At this point I was pissed, so I asked him what price he would be willing to sell the truck at so that I could shop around and see if it was the best price around. He assured me that it was. I assured him that there was no way I would buy that truck that night without being able to compare prices. His response was that he didn't care because he would sell the truck regardless. So, I walked out of the dealership.
My girlfriend had cleaned everything out that wasn't ground into the seat. That was a horrible ride home, but I had a tarp in the trunk and we put it on the front seats while I held the dog in the back. It was late November and we were driving home with all the windows down freezing to death.
The next day, I went to another dealership near my parents that was owned by the same owner, and I had them DX the truck to me at this other dealership and they reduced the price by $100. The initial salesman called me several days later and asked me if I was still interested in the truck. I asked him if he still had it on the lot, which he assured me they did, which was impossible because I had it sitting in my driveway. After that, I told him that I found it somewhere else for less and he said that he had another $500 to work with me. My response was that he should have given me that price over the internet instead of wasting all my time. I was so pissed off that I will never buy another vehicle from that dealership.
Billy,
Spend a lot of time with Fritz and he will be looking out the window every time you leave the house. I think a person needs to really bond with a dog by spending a lot of time with the dog. Once that dog trusts you, he will want to do anything to please you.
