On Monday, the plane, headed for the Bahamas with 3,200 pounds of granite, started having engine problems almost immediately after takeoff at 3:50 p.m. A minute later, the pilot, Charles Riggs, 62, of Pembroke Pines, landed on Northeast 56th Street near the intersection of Northeast 18th Avenue in Coral Ridge Isles.
