Fabs said, "Do you guys really want to go through a World War over oil?"
Not really, but, we may not have a choice.
You know, when all this oil crunch business started up, people were screaming about the oil compaies "obscene" profits. From what I've been reading lately, gas prices continue to rise and the oil companies profits are rising even faster. Is there something wrong with this picture?
It used to be said that, "What was good for General Motors was good for the country."
Maybe we should rephrase that to, "What is good for the oil companies is BAD for the country!"
Just another example of corporate greed, my friends. They could back off a bit on their profits, which would be good for the country. Of course, the stock holders in their greed would raise all kinds of hell. Remember, they're the haves, and we're the have nots. The problem is, in their greed, thay are destroying the best country that ever existed, and I don't like it.
Don't expect the government to do anything about it. After all, the big corporations have the best government they can buy.
