Scooter, I must have mounted well over 500 scopes in the last 15 years, probably more than that. That said the majority have been Burris Z rings and weaver bases, never have had any problems to my knowledge. Some of these have been on rifles for Africa hunting. That said I like Leupold on my rifles, because of the extra windage adjustments, or I use Millet rings if more windage is need with weaver bases. Mounting a scope is making sure base screws are locktited and that the proper hieght rings are used and aligned. I use metal rods of the prober diameter to align rings. Oh yes, this is all based on the base screw holes being properly drilled and tapped. Ruger probably has the best system for bases there is.
