What he said: "I will ban all handguns from this country."
What the reality is: He proposed legislation that would allow provinces to pass stricter laws on handguns, including banning them. Why didn't he just say that? Because he is a liar.
Here in N.B., at least our province has laughed in his face and told him exactly what you just said, Cal -- enforce your own laws.
It just goes to show exactly how stupid the man thinks we Canadians are. What an insult to the intelligence of any Canadian who knows anything about firearms and the laws that pertain to them.
Shame!
Of course, most people have no clue about the reality of gun laws today in this country. They think we can pop over to Canadian Tire, pick up a .44, shove it in our pocket and go bar hopping.
