Welcome to the board Texan.

As far as experts on this subject are concerned for labs, you would probably want to talk to Doc E and/or Nevada Jim. If you have been following the board, Doc E pops in every once in a while, so you can send him a PM and he will get you some information.

Regarding Nevada Jim, he doesn't look at the board at all any more, or if he does he sure doesn't post any. He and I didn't always see eye to eye, but he did help me find a breeder and it turned out to be a great match. I got Nitro, a yellow lab, a little over 2 years ago and he is great. He comes from the Candlewood line of labs which is a pretty decent line. I had no idea about Candlewood until after I got Nitro and started looking at his family tree. Jim was able to send me an article about Candlewood and it was pretty impressive.

That is about the entirety of breeder knowledge that I have on labs.

If I am not mistaken, somebody else on the board bought a little lab puppy about the same time I bought Nitro, but I don't know if they post anymore.

You might want to look Nevada Jim's profile up and see if he has an e-mail address listed. If you cannot find anything, let me know and I will try to dig through my computer.
