My best memory from working the Ravenna Michigan fur sale was the time my son and I were bagging the fur after it was sold. I can't remember the year but it was just before black Monday on the stock market and fur prices tumbled.
A lot of 200 XXL trapped coon had just been sold and my son was trying to figure out in his head what the lot had been sold for. I told him he better help me get the coon in bags as the trapper had 150 outs on the block now. The 200 sold for $50 dollars a piece. The outs brought $34. One heck of a fur check.
